on "Promise Me." Your welcome! Your poem is deep, plus I found the conversations between you and other commenters interesting. Taken literally, your poem portrays violence against a loved one, but it's incorrect to completely interpret it as such. I like your explanation of your poem. 
Poetry is all about perception. When my mother read it, she got tearful, because it made her think of abused dogs, tied to trees, beaten, and the moment they are dead or run away, they're forgotten. I hadn't even thought of that, so I am quick to defend my poetry so it isn't taken at surface value~
